Colorful Creative Portrait Photoshoot

When my favorite backdrop company, Ultra Violet Backdrops, reached out to collaborate on a new color they had coming up & I hopped right on it. Their backdrops are such high quality & the colors truly GIVE in a photograph.

The color of this backdrop was very much summer vibes. I definitely wanted to keep everything colorful, bright & fresh feeling for this portrait photoshoot I had working up for this collab. I sourced a model on IG, secured a make up artist & props. Now ready to shoot!

I absolutely love seeing an idea turn into a reality! While also seeing where the natural flow of the moment takes me. I try to plan ahead as much as possible ahead of time. I do that by creating mood boards & looking up unique lighting/ posing I could incorporate for that upcoming shoot. Even with all the planning, I always allow the photoshoot to flow. If the vibe is taking us in a different direction that feels good, I follow that. This allows the good feeling vibes to stick and creativity to flow through me in a more natural way. I also feel that this process allows me to create more authentically. The mood boards I create are a mere jumping off point for the photoshoot.

With all that said, I was flowing through this shoot and the pictures show it. I was genuinely having a great time while taking these photos! Even tho it was so hot & I was a one man team, working the reflector on my own. Lol But really, I am so grateful for this passion of mine. I get to explore my creativity through colors, lighting , posing, styling, editing, all of it- I am fascinated & driven to keep going.
